Цели: • обобщить, углубить и расширить лингвострановедческие знания по теме "Великобритания”; • совершенствовать умения и навыки практического владения английским языком по заданной теме; • способствовать формированию социокультурной компетенции учащихся; • повысить интерес к изучению иностранного языка. Оборудование: Учебник, раздаточный материал, карта Великобритании, изображения достопримечательностей Лондона. Ход урока 1. Орг. момент. Приветствие. Today we are going to make a virtual trip to Great Britain, the country which language we learn. We’ll remember the location of this country, its symbols, famous places and people. 2. Речевая зарядка. Questions to the pupils in class. What day is it today? How are you? What form are you in? What is your favourite subject?
3. Основная часть урока. 3.1.Развитие навыков устной речи. ( 3-4 учащихся рассказывают общую информацию о Великой Британии, работа возле доски с географической картой) THE GREAT BRITAIN. 1.The official name of Great Britain is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It is situated on the British Isles, in Europe. They include two big islands - the largest is Great Britain and the other – Ireland and more than 5 thousand small islands around them. Great Britain is separated by the English Channel from the Continent. The population of the country is 60 mln people. 2.The country consists of four parts: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. London is the capital of England, Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland, Cardiff is the capital of Wales, Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland. There are many other big cities: Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow, Oxford and Cambridge. 3.English is the official language of the country. The most famous places that you can see and visit are: Westminster Abbey, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, The Tower Bridge. All Englishmen love their country and respect their native flag the Union Jack, as they call it. The symbol of England is the rose. 4. The symbols of the Union Jack.( см. TS 29 стр. 160-161, учебник Биркун Л. В. 6 класс) 3.2.Лексическая Работа. Учащиеся всего класса решают кроссворд. Первые учащиеся, справившиеся с заданием, записывают слова на доске. What language do they speak in the U.K.? (English).
